Book Review
God and the Pyramid by Timothy Lamb
Chapter 6

Charles Smyth, the founder of British Israelist pyramidology, had removed himself from the scene in embarrassment after science proved him wrong. However, there were some who picked up his mantle, like Mortan Edgar, a student of Charles Taze Russell.  He was in Glasgow Scottland which was the largest Russellite community outside of Brooklyn, New York.  Morton and his brother John published Great Pyramid Passages in two volumes and it was featured in the Watchtower, this was before Russell's death.  However, after Russell's death and Joseph Rutherford (not Adam Rutherford) took over, many Russellites left and became the Bible Students while the Watchtower went on to become Jehovah's Witnesses.  Edgar stayed with the Watchtower, who then went and called pyramidology "satanic" in 1928. Morton Edgar became highly regarded in his day but his attachment to Russellism and the Watchtower turned people off and eventually faded as the Freemason David Davidson (who was a British Israelist unlike Russelite Edgar) came to the forefront.

P.S. - I found the rare 1913 edition volume 2 of Great Pyramid Passaged, here it is: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IEM5JelORo7WHhJPkC7-ungFXx_2BSgW/view
