God and the Pyramid: The rise and fall of Messianic Pyramidology starts by defining "Pyramidology" as exclusively non-scientific and it is not used to denote scientific pyramid research. All pyramidologists were exclusively Christian and only viewed the Egyptian pyramids as divine but not those of other races on other continents. The book follows the three successors of Charles Piazza Smyth, the founder not of British Israelism but British Israelist pyramidology. Charles Taze Russell thanks Smyth in his books on pyramidology, even though Russell was not a British Israelist, and denounced it. One of Russell's students was Morton Edgar who also blended in Smyth even though he was not a British Israelist, the book focuses on Edgar, not Russell. The other two pyramidologists the book follows are David Davidson (a Freemason British Israelist) and Adam Rutherford (a British Israelist, whose descendant is a chronicler of David Davidson's Freemason life). The author seems friendly with the British-Israel World Federation (BIWF). Adam Rutherford and Morton Edgar worked together so it is definitely possible that Edgar and Russell could have been influenced by British Israelist Freemasons even though the Russellites did not hold this view. I'm glad David Davidson was a Freemason, just another one in a growing list of Freemasons who seemed to want to keep all this secret of themselves and work through their Noahide cults of Russelites, Christian Scientists, Adventists, and Mormons.
