Book Review
God and the Pyramid by Timothy Lamb
Chapters 13 & 16

As he got on in life Adam Rutherford founded The Institute of Pyramidology and started a monthly called Pyramid Monthy which became the quarterly Pyramid Magazine which ran until Rutherford's death in 1974, and then continued by Rutherford's son James. Rutherford failed to predict the end of World War II, saying it would end in 1941. In 1943 he started The Great Pyramid Campaign and wrote The Pyramid Series starting with "The Great Pyramid, Its Christian Message To All Nations".  In 1950 he went to Israel to visit the sight of Armageddon and predicted it would come between 1955 and 1956, even though he had already predicted this in 1928 and 1936-1941.  In 1953 he wrote number four in The Pyramid Series, "The Savior of the world as revealed by the Great Pyramid".  In the end, Rutherford rewrote and changed all of his theories to no avail.  He died on December 8th, 1974.  Rutherford predicted the Millenium would come in 1979, which never happened, and this ended any lasting faith in Rutherford's predictions.  The death of Rutherford saw the end of Messianic Pyramidology as it had been known.
