Book Review
God and the Pyramid by Timothy Lamb
Chapter 12

Adam Rutherford had been a Russellite and an associate of Morton Edgar. However, he started following David Davidson, but could not reach Davidson's success. Unlike Davidson, Rutherford had to publish privately. He tried to put himself over Davidson by touting how he had actually visited the Great Pyramid and studied it for himself.  Rutherford was known for being smart and unique but his attacks on Davidson did not go over well in the pyramidology community. He eventually got a likely honorary Doctorate of Divinity and was able to join the Royal Geographical Society. After the failure of some 1928 prediction, Rutherford drastically reworked his pyramidology theories. He started to drift away from Russell and toward British Israelism. He then developed an Iceland Israelism in which the Icelanders were the tribe of Benjamin and the Great Pyramid predicted the location or Reykjavik. He went to Iceland on the invitation of pro-Nazi anti-Semite Icelandic politician Jonas Gudmudnsson (even though the Nazis were antagonistic to British Israelism). He wrote Iceland's Great Inheritance and predicted some sort of liberation for Iceland in 1941. Even though Rutherford was the least recognized pyramidologist, he would also be the one to keep it going into the 1970s.
