Freemasons may have not started British-Israelism, but it does seem that Irish-Israelism was a Freemason invention.  Irish Freemason Conor MacDari in his book "Irish Wisdom Preserved In Bible And Pyramids" states that it was the Irish who built the pyramids and that in a way they are the real Jews.  Another author who wrote about Freemasonry, Ireland, and the Pyramids was Andrew Power who wrote Ireland, Land of the Pharaohs
